As someone who hadn't been to a gym in years I decided, having turned 50, that I probably should do some form of exercise other than walking the dog.
I cannot recommend Over Forty Fitness highly enough. For six months I have trained with David for an hour twice a week, which is a record for me. This isn't anything like the large and busy chain gyms and if like me, you don't like those then you will love it here. The atmosphere is completely different, the staff are friendly and cheerful, no queues for equipment, parking is never a problem and sometimes we exercise outside on the verandah.
David makes sure the hour flies by, no two sessions are the same so it is never boring. He motivates and encourages me to push myself more than I would do myself and I even look forward to going. I particularly enjoy boxing for a great all round work out. My fitness levels have improved enormously and I can honestly say that my arms have never looked as toned.
Exercise can be an enjoyable experience after all!

The thought of joining a gym was never appealing. In fact I had actively avoided going to the gym all my life. However, after much procrastinating I finally called the team at Over Forty Fitness. The staff were really friendly and professional
An initial program was designed and I soon got into the routine of going to the gym. In fact after a couple of months I was surprised to find myself looking forward to the workouts with Christy and David. My program is regularly reviewed and updated so that it never becomes routine or boring and I am really pleased with my general fitness and strength improvements over the past twelve months.
The friendliness and support of the staff never wanes. The gym is set in wonderful surrounds, is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. The gym’s intimate size and relaxed atmosphere means that workouts are done at your own pace and there is rarely a queue for equipment.
I would highly recommend David and the team at Over Forty Fitness for anyone considering joining a gym…especially those reluctant to do so.

On suggestion from my specialist that i join a Gym, I was recommended to the Over Forty Fitness Centre and a program was designed to build up my bone density.
This all takes place in a friendly atmosphere with parking at the door and its thanks to the professional help from both david and Christy that my fitness has improved and my health is excellent

I have been attending this gym three times a week for one hour at a time for some six years now and can tell anybody interested that this is a “one caring gym”.
David, who owns the gym, does an outstanding job running complex and personally demanding operation. He attends to everybody’s needs on a one to one basis.
Young, or not so young, everybody gets the attention that they physically need, nobody ever misses out! If you have not already tried this gym then I recommend you to do so.

I wanted to send you a short note saying how delighted I am with the the gym and my progress over the last year or so.
I was somewhat sceptical about joining having never joined a gym before. However, having explained what I wanted to achieve, I was given an initial assessment and a specific routine was developed for me.
I very quickly got into the habit of coming to the gym and found that my strength and conditioning improved rapidly. If I need advice or a new exercise routine I am quickly looked after.
Of course, the highlight of my week is my Friday boxing. I had never considered doing this until I saw you doing a session. I tried it out and now have a session each week. It is the best possible workout, which includes conditioning for the upper body, legs, stomach, and overall fitness. Simone, who has just joined you, is particularly good at encouraging me to work harder than I thought possible.
The gym is also in a particularly pleasant location and the environment makes it a very nice place to visit.

My sister persuaded me to join her at Over Forty Fitness to help me manage my back pain. I was reluctant at first because I had never been to a gym before. I expected bright lights, mirrors everywhere and loud music, but it is very low-key. They gave me a simple, targeted routine of exercises, which I follow at my own pace each visit. I love the quiet location with its easy access and parking. I chose the 10 visits pre-pay option because, working full time, I only go once a week.
